Terms of Service
The plain-English terms for using this website and working with us. Client engagements are governed by the signed agreement, which always takes precedence.

01Acceptance
By using compiledideas.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. For development engagements, the statement of work and master services agreement you sign with us override anything on this page.
02Our services
- Engagements are defined by a written scope: deliverables, timeline, and a fixed price.
- Work is delivered in two-week sprints with demos; you review and approve as we go.
- Changes to scope are handled through a written change order with an updated price and timeline before work continues.
03Quotes and payment
- Quotes are valid for 30 days and itemized by phase.
- Invoices are typically issued per milestone and due within 14 days.
- Late payments may pause active work after a 7-day grace period and a written notice.
04Intellectual property
On full payment, you own all deliverables we produced for you: source code, designs, documentation, and configurations. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools and generic know-how, and we may reuse general techniques we developed along the way — never your code, your data, or your confidential information.
05Confidentiality
We treat everything you share as confidential by default, sign NDAs on request before the first call, and restrict access to team members working on your project.
06Warranty and support
- Every launch includes a 30-day warranty: defects against the agreed scope are fixed at no charge.
- After the warranty, support and continued development are available via a monthly retainer or on-demand.
- We do not warrant third-party services (APIs, platforms, libraries) beyond what their providers offer.
07Acceptable use
You may not use our website to distribute unlawful content, attempt to breach our systems, or misrepresent your identity. Client products we build must be lawful and must not infringe third-party rights.
08Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for the engagement giving rise to the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
09Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement with 14 days’ written notice. You pay for work completed to date; we hand over all work in progress. Retainer agreements can be cancelled at the end of any month.
10Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the contracting entity named in your agreement. Questions: legal@compiledideas.com.
